Natural Seeding
Here we are on South Shields sea front working alongside PBA Ecology. This is a different form of seeding. The area was stoned up then a 50mm coverage of topsoil was applied to create the same as the existing sea front. We cut the grass where the particular flower species were, It was then baled up and spread out evenly across the new area. The grass would then dry out. Once dry we came along and shaked the grass to let the seeds drop out. Last job was to roll the ground to get the soil to seed contact.
